his year’s slogan is “Experience Rotary: Culture and Service”.

1. Meaning of “Experience Rotary”
The Rotary Club offers three joys:
* The joy of deepening individual relationships and friendships
* The joy of serving and being of service to the community
* The joy of connecting with Rotarians around the world
Anyone who joins the Rotary Club can experience and enjoy these three joys, but this is difficult to do without joining. I intend to manage the Rotary Club of Kyoto Rakuhoku in ways that enable everyone to experience these joys.

2. Meaning of “Culture and Service”
The Agency for Cultural Affairs will move to Kyoto in 2021. What is culture? In English, culture is defined as “to cultivate; education; the results of efforts of people as constituents of society”. The subtitle of “Culture and Service” comes from the awareness that we need to think of how our service can help reinvigorate Kyoto through the power of culture.

3. Let’s Enjoy the 45-Year Anniversary Project
I see this project as an opportunity to express gratitude to our forebears who established this club and worked so hard to develop and maintain it, to reflect on the positive effects of our club’s activities, and to consider the future of our club.
